This is despite her prior roles in serious films. She had a guest role in Kim Possible as Heather. One of her very first voices was in the role. In 2011 van der Pol made a guest appearance in the role of Ronnie as Ronnie in the Disney Channel Original series Shake It Up. for Walt Disney Records van der Pol is well-known for her work on several songs, such as her song from the That's So Raven soundtrack theme. Also, she collaborated on the song along with Raven Symone as well as Orlando Brown. Over It, which she also composed to accompany Stuck on the Suburbs The soundtrack for the film was a Disney Channel Original Movie. Van der Pol was a part of the Disney Channel supergroup The Disney Channel Circle of Stars with which she recorded pop/R&B interpretations of The"Lion King's" Circle of Life and Cinderella's The Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes for special edition releases of the movies. In 2006 she recorded her own cover of the timeless Disney song Candle on the Water from Pete's Dragon for an edition of Disneymania. In her role on Broadway in the role of Belle van der Pol, she sang a variety of songs which were heard in the score of the musical, including A Change in Me.
